Cherry's Delights

ok first things first! these potatoes have been my lifesaver for easy 10 minute meals…ive made everything from 1 pan hash with potatoes, egg, ground beef, onion and cheese, to easy 10 minute mashed potatoes. they are delicious and are an easy way to make a warm meal and they keep for up to about 2 months if stored in a cabinet, pantry or cool dry area. they are also great for dorms because the mashed potatoes are made in the microwave! how easy is that?! ill give you guys the recipe for the mashed potatoes
10 minute mashed potatoes
for about 2 servings of mashed potatoes take about 10 of the potatoes and cut them into bite size cubes…the bite size is variable because they are going to be mashed so whateves lol
put potatoes in a medium size microwavable bowl or any size bowl that allows all the potatoes to sit in it and have some room for water
fill the bowl with water so that it just covers the potatoes
put the bowl in the microwave for about 8-10 minutes or until you can mash them with a fork easily - depending on how many potatoes you are making it may take more or less time
once fork squishable add about 2 tablespoons of either milk or 1/2 and 1/2 or whatever cream you may have…id stay away from coffee mate though yuk…and however much butter you want. i usually put about a tablespoon of butter per 2 servings because the potatoes are really buttery themselves :D
then add whatever seasonings you want…
salt and pepper
pinch of garlic powder and shredded cheese = cheesy garlic potatoes
pinch of onion powder dollop of sour cream- sour cream and onion potatoes
pinch of that cheesey powder for popcorn or chips = pretty dang tasty cheesy potatoes
powdered packets of seasonings work great too like those hidden valley ranch packets = ranchy potatoes!
anything you want!
mash with a fork or if you have a wisk just mash with that
then when its mashed to your liking EAT! yum
so easy and yeah so tasty and really not that bad for you either so yeah enjoy everyone!
if you have questions just ask!

I have decided to change up my posts and start blogging my easy and affordable college cooking arsenal and maybe give you all some ideas on some healthy but yummy food.  :D

Cherry’s Hat Rack

I am going to start blogging my hat I collection. I hope you enjoy!

Welcome to Cherry’s Delights! I will be your hostess Cherry D. To tell you a bit about myself, I am a vivacious, voluptuous, vintage styled woman who enjoys the simplicity of an era past but the excitement of modern day. I love to find vintage things and put a modern twist on them to create a style completely my own. I hope to share some of my finds in this blog and hopefully give some tips on how to create a fun vintage style for anyone :D

First things first I love pinup art! Gil Elvgren is one of my favorite pinup artist and Bettie Page is my favorite pinup star. Also, I love the vintage sailor style and this picture is one of my absolute favorites.
